Once we got our drivers license we could rent cars at 16 and always went on road trips around the Midwest to Chicago, Detroit, Louisville to Derby, Indianapolis to Black Expo and whatever event had some outside fun that we didn't need to be 21 to get into in the Summer. We have to have honest conversations about these things. Most of us have grandparents or maybe even parents where the mother was under the age of 18 when they got married to men who were much older. In a lot of places around the world this still takes place. My grandfather was well in his 30s when he married my grandmother who was half his age and they got married and started a family.
